Xènia Viladàs is a well-known design critic. The publisher IndexBook had entrusted her with a book about cost-effective design. Xènia wished to highlight the fact that this was a useful and accessible reference book. She said something that would clearly mark the concept of the book “I want the book to be as useful and easy to use as a Suiss-army knife”.

The solution for the book was to develop an object as similar to a Suiss-army knife as possible. The book has fold-out windows that extend on the text pages widthways forming the extension of the design tools with easy to understand graphs.
